Sketches, Pirates, and Photoshop

This is a character named Serra from Mike Wieringo and Todd Dezago's Tellos. Any of you who know me well know that Mike Wieringo is my favorite artist. Mike passed away a few years ago, so I tend to get just a bit nostalgic when I draw one of his characters. I am also trying to continue practicing coloring my work. I realize that I want to continue trying to get better at this style of coloring, and though it looks very simple it is much harder than I ever thought it could be. I guess I am going to have to start watching some more tutorials on coloring in Photoshop. Till next time, and in the words of Tellos; by thy side.
